PARTICIPATE AS AND ARTIST OR A FRIEND OF THE ARTS
Are you a professional artist? Artists from different countries are invited to the festival every year. Artists can also propose programmes and events to the festival. During the baroque era, music was played in the streets, taverns, churches and at different events as part of social life. Therefore, we favour programmes with a touch of communal or interdisciplinary elements.
Are you a lover of the arts or a curious experimenter? The Finnish Baroque Orchestra takes part in the participatory regional work in Helsinki. Currently, the priority area for 2022-2024 is northeastern Helsinki. The different projects offer possibilities to participate for people interested in music or other art forms – for amateurs, experimenters and virtuosos alike. The work in the northeast culminates with the Hemf satellite festival Local Landscapes (Paikallismaisemat) in the end of October.
