Pauliina Fred

Pauliina Fred (born 1974) studied in the soloist programme of the Sibelius Academy in 1994-2001. In Spring 2001 Fred graduated as a Master of Music and in the autumn 2004 she held her debyt concert in Helsinki.
In 1997-1999, Pauliina Fred lived in the Netherlands and studied traverse flute and recorder at the Utrecht and Amsterdam Conservatories. In 2001 Fred received her soloist diploma under Wilbert Hazelzet’s direction.
Pauliina Fred plays in the Finnish Baroque Orchestra, the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, the Ensemble Paulus Barokk and The Barokkanerne-Norwegian Baroque Orchestra. Fred is an active chamber musician and plays in a range of different ensembles, eg. Zetes Quintet, The Bravade Recorder Quartet, The Bellman Trio. Since 2018 she has functioned as the artistic designer for the Finnish Baroque Orchestra.
Pauliina has made solo and ensemble recordings on Naxos, Bis, Aeolus and Pilfink records.
Fred has appeared at numerous festivals in Finland, and performed as a chamber musician and soloist in most of the European countries, Japan, South Korea, Argentina, Peru and in the USA.
