RETROFUTURISTIC HYBRID CLUB

The electric soul or the search for the identity of the electro-acoustic clavichord and the digital Middle Ages

The retrofuturistic club evening invites you to enjoy being together, eating small snacks from the bistro and obviously also listening to strange sounds and good music! The evening consists of two parts: first, Jonte Knif is searching for the place in the world of his new, electro-acoustic clavichord. When an acoustic instrument is fitted with microphones, its identity is significantly changed. Invariably, this leads to both the people appreciating the traditional instrument dismissing the new instrument and to the creation of new artistic expressions. In the second part of the evening, Thomas Ignatius performs music from the Middle Ages on synth and electric guitar. This retrofuturistic hybrid has caused confusion as well as received acknowledgement both in Finland and abroad.
