Sirkku Rintamäki

Sirkku Rintamäki has worked as a cantor of the Kannelmäki congregation since 1998. She has concentrated particularly on musical work for children, singing and choir conducting. Sirkku is completing her artistic doctoral studies on church music at the Sibelius Academy. She also teaches children choir conducting and liturgical singing to the church music students, future cantors at the Sibelius Academy. Sirkku is a singer of the Helsinki Chamber Choir and likes to sing in different kinds of ensemble productions, too. Early music is one of the favorites of this versatile singer, composer and church musician. Lately she has composed especially ”wildhymns” – of which one has already been ”domesticated” into an official hymnal (number 902a).
