Louna Hosia


Louna Hosia is a versatile musician from Helsinki specialized in early music who enjoys both playing herself and teaching others. She performs both in Finland and Europe playing the cello as well as the gamba in The Finnish Baroque Orchestra, Helsinki Baroque Orchestra, Ensemble Nyland, Concerto Copenhagen and the ensembles Cornucopia and Brú, to name a few. During the season of 2009 she was a member of the European Union Baroque Orchestra. Hosia teaches at the music institute of Western Helsinki (Länsi-Helsingin musiikkiopisto). As a member of the educational group Collegium she also spreads the message of joy of early music in Finland and is the leader of seniors’ baroque workshop. Hosia is the Finnish champion of 2018 in playing the saw.
